Swetha has been a key figure to many in SASE, providing inspiration and always striving to ensure that her team and chapters are exceeding expectations in all areas. The region has been successful because of Swetha’s efforts and encouragement; as a volunteer leader, she has consistently demonstrated a rare ability to inspire, motivate, and empower others to achieve their full potential. She has a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others, and this has been evident in every aspect of her work as a volunteer.

Swetha is an effective communicator and passionate about giving SASE members a memorable and beneficial experience. She continuously strives to make the team and region better so that it is of value to others, ensuring, for example, that the team participates in events such as Spirit Week or Science Week. She has fostered a strong sense of community and teamwork among volunteers and has always been willing to go above and beyond to support and encourage others.

“Last year, I was still serving as president at ASU, and I have always admired how well organized Swetha was – as well as just being a really nice person to talk with,” a nominator said. “When I joined the West team this year, I was really shocked to learn that it is only her second year as Regional Manager; I thought she had been Regional Manager for years! The way she holds everyone accountable and still makes it fun is really admirable. Not only does she show up to everything, but she goes above and beyond, and I am really proud to have her as my RM this year.”
